Sentara Potomac Hospital, like most area hospitals, is not a licensed blood donation center. Therefore the hospital cannot accommodate walk-in donors responding to an immediate crisis. Inova Blood Donor Services, which supplies more than 90 percent of the blood used at Potomac, holds several blood drives each year at Sentara Potomac Hospital.

Blood drives are usually held on the third Tuesday of the month at Sentara Potomac Hospital.
