Q.
At what age did you decide to pursue a medical career and why?
A.
As a senior in college I interned with a vascular surgeon. He allowed me to volunteer in his office; and even took me into the operating room. I really loved it, so that was when I decided.

Q.
What are your particular interests within your specialty?
A.
Breast and laparoscopic surgery.

Q.
What are your interests outside of work?
A.
Family! Exercise, running and golf.

Q.
What’s the best part about being a physician?
A.

The best part about being a surgeon is treating people that are really sick - performing operations that make them better. As a surgeon, I am able to create immediate results.
