Q.
At what age did you decide to pursue a medical career and why?
A.
Ever since I was a little kid I wanted to be a physician. I was always interested in the sciences and had a father that always wanted to be a physician himself and encouraged me to follow my dream to become a physician.
Q.
What are your particular interests within your specialty?
A.
Breast cancer, lung cancer and providing palliative care for cancer patients.
Q.
What are your interests outside of work?
A.
Spending time with my husband and son, sports (swimming, tennis) and reading.
Q.
What’s the best part about being a physician?
A.
I love the interaction with patients and their family members and I like to think that I can at least help improve the quality of their life. I also enjoy using the very sophisticated technology to give my patients the best care while minimizing the side effects and provide the best chance for a cure.
