Q.
At what age did you decide to pursue a medical career and why?
A.
In high school I took an interest in orthopedic surgery. I found the mechanical aspect of sports injuries fascinating. I knew I either wanted to be an orthopedic surgeon or a carpenter. My mother steered me in the right direction.
Q.
What are your particular interests within your specialty?
A.
Minimally invasive hip and knee replacement, revision of total hip and knee replacement, partial knee replacement, shoulder replacement, knee arthroscopy and shoulder arthroscopy.
Q.
What are your interests outside of work?
A.
Spending time with family and watching my kids play sports. I also volunteer at the Mission Life Center Hope Clinic in Fairfax, which is a health clinic that provides quality healthcare to uninsured low-income patients through a staff of dedicated volunteers.
