Dialogue
Q.
At what age did you decide to pursue a medical career and why?
A.
In the fourth grade. We were asked by a science teacher to write what we wanted to be when we grew up, and I wrote that I wanted to be a doctor. My mother kept the paper.

Q.
What are your particular interests within your specialty?
A.
Working with children and breast surgery. I really enjoy the variety in my work.

Q.
What are your interests outside of work?
A.
I love to travel. I have been to the Galapagos Islands, Machu Picchu, and most recently, Vietnam. I am hoping to plan our next trip to Antarctica and the Arctic. I also love to read and enjoy the theatre and music, especially classical and pops.

Q.
What’s the best part about being a physician?
A.

Dealing with my patients. They are why we come to work everyday.
