Carmalina “Pepper” Hembrey, R.N., BSN, has been named director of Sentara Potomac Hospital’s Intensive Care and Intermediate Care Units. Hembrey graduated from the University of Texas, El Paso, with a bachelor’s degree in Nursing and is currently pursuing her master’s degree in Nursing at George Mason University. Hembrey was previously the assistant director of ICU/IMCU for three years and a nurse clinician for four years at Potomac. Prior to joining Potomac, she held a variety of administrative and clinical positions in the critical care and sub-acute care areas at Providence Hospital and Fredericksburg Nursing and Rehabilitation.
